Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great day! Yesterday I went to the Museum of Natural History with one of my friends, and I had a great time looking at all the displays and exhibits.
The Museum of Natural History is one of my favorite museums. To me, science is an art, and just like how the Met and MoMA house paintings and sculptures, the Museum of Natural History preserves the beauty of existence. By far my favorite exhibit is their collection of minerals and crystals. The crystals on display come in every color you could imagine, but my favorite thing about them is their structure. When I think of nature I imagine rounded shapes and warmth, but rock formations and crystals have a kind of cool, jagged beauty that I admire. Their geometric shapes always make me feel like I’ve been teleported into the future, even though some of them can be billions of years old.
There were lots of children visiting the museum yesterday (at least four different day camps ), and I always love seeing them get excited over science and history. Although many of them will go back home to tell their parents that the dinosaur exhibit or the insect and ocean life display was their favorite, I hope that at least one of them shares my opinion on how great the gems and minerals exhibit is!
That’s my favourite exhibit too! Whenever I go to the museum I buy one of the little geodes from the shop to remind me of the exhibit!

Ahhh I’ve always wanted to buy a geode but they’re so expensive. I’m definitely picking one up next time though!
