I’m taking another break from posting Madrid photos because… well… my photos are being held hostage again. Sometimes I feel like I’ll never get all my Madrid photos posted. But I definitely will try. Meanwhile, I’m spending four weeks in my favorite place in the world: the Philippines! While I’m here I’ll try to be as active as possible, but yet again, wifi is an issue. I’ll show you a tour of my condominium in a future post, but for now I’m going to talk about Vanilla!

Vanilla is a super sweet (heh, see what I did there?) restaurant in Taguig. I say restaurant, because there’s so much more than just sweets! If you look at the menu there are loads of savory, salty, and spicy dishes to choose from if you want more than just dessert. I went to the Vanilla in Fort Bonifacio High Street, but there’s another one a couple of blocks over in Market! Market! and I have to say that it was absolutely delightful.

My family and I walked in completely blown away by the decor, and I’d like to thank the staff for putting up with us taking pictures everywhere. It’s a eclectic mix of bright colors, antique furniture, and motivational posters. Think the opposite of a haunted mansion. From the beaded chandeliers to the flower entwined swinging sofa to the pink bicycle under the sink in the kitchen, this whole place looks just as sweets as the desserts. My photos don’t nearly show off how incredible this place looks in the inside!

My eight year old niece is a regular at Vanilla and immediately decided on a blue vanilla cupcake. My family chose an array of food ranging from my oreo white chocolate mousse and iced cafe latte to my cousin’s pasta carbonara. The presentation of each dish was a full on 10/10. My iced coffee came in a mason jar with a straw and milk on the side and my mousse was in a tiny jar with a cute little red bow. The hot chocolate came in angle wing mugs and the coffee in bright antique rose tea cups.

All in all this was a wonderful experience and if any of my followers are ever in Manila, I highly recommend visiting Vanilla!
